Access Without Conflict

A Shared-Parenting Class for Separated, Divorced or Divorcing Parents

Access periods are greatly affected by the disposition of the custodial parent.  In like manner, the disposition of the non-custodial parent can affect the cooperation of the custodial parent. Both parents have a  role in the availability of the child, and their support of the child’s access schedule is critical.

To assist parents in making this often difficult transition, we offer a 3 hour shared-parenting class.  It is designed for custodial and non-custodial parents and addresses the important roles that both parents play in a child’s life; obstacles to shared-parenting; steps to more effective communication; and, how to offer emotional support to children of divorce.  It also provides proven and effective strategies in making visitation/access more manageable.

This class is offered monthly at the NewDay Office in the Family Law Center 1-4pm. It is also offered at the same location and time as Kid's Quest - our activity seminar for children of divorce ages 4 -12 years old - when a Kid's Quest session is scheduled.  A schedule for Access Without Conflict classes can be found on our Calendar.  Pre-registration is required to attend the shared-parenting class.  Please call our family court office at 817 884-3800 for more information.

Divorce is an end to the marriage/spouse relationship - it should not be an end to the parent/child relationship.

Every child deserves two parents.
