What is Kid's Quest?
A 4-hour program for children of divorced or separated families. The program, designed by a play therapist & child psychologist, consists of age-appropriate small group activities. It's goal is to give children, ages 4 - 12 years old, the the tools they need to better cope with their changing family.
What kind of activities?
The children are divided into groups based on age. Each group (6-8 children) rotates through a series of centers designed to help them identify and express their feelings. They also learn that they are not alone in experiencing family change. The 6 centers are art or activity-based. The children also have lunch provided and a time for games or planned large motor activities. The Kid's Quest sessions are staffed with trained volunteers.
