The Family courthouse is a unique environment. Judges cannot talk to the families outside of the legal proceedings and attorneys often cannot provide families with the emotional support they need. Families often feel isolated, confused, angry, hurt, and helpless. The system can seem unfriendly...
New Day is provided office space at the Tarrant County Family Law Center. Services provided by chaplains include counseling, spiritual guidance, Bible and life skills classes, mediation, high-conflict parenting planning, and referrals to churches and other community services to extend care for families in crisis. God uses NewDay staff in our community to transfer hope by being a tangible expression of His love. As one of our fathers has observed, "You called me, approached me, were humble, courteous, and invited me in."
Meet our Family Law Center Chaplain
Don Mansfield is our NewDay Senior Chaplain in the Tarrant County Family Law Center. He has served the Family Law Center since 2004, earning a reputation for mediation, counseling and directing classes which positively affect hard-to-serve families in crisis. Don runs the FOCUS for fathers classes specifically for court-mandated fathers not paying child support and those trying to gain/regain visitation access to their children. He also supervises the other NewDay chaplains in the Family Law Center and Juvenile Justice Center. |
